Dylan has been in 3 contests since Oct 17. His first was on Kauai for NSSA. He made both finals, in the Open Boys he got 3rd and Explorer Menehune he got 5th. He surfed in consistent 3 to 5 ft Hawaiian size with larger sets at PK's, Kauai's south shore. Dylan surfed amazing. We had probably our best south swell of the season that weekend.
The next weekend he surfed in the first Hawaiian Surfing Association (HSA) contest on Maui. Which he won his menehune division and placed 5th in Open Boys 14 and under. The contest was held at Koki, beach in Hana Maui.
Last weekend he was on Oahu at Turtle Bay for the NSSA, but did not make any finals. In the NSSA Dylan is one of the younger kids in both his divisions, so next year he will be competing in them again.
Other news on the grom is that he has been hooked up by Future's fins and is stoked,Dylan has been using Futures since he started surfing and has affiliated himself well with their models,a big thank you go's out to Tim and the boys at Future Fins.
